So one of the major announcements to come out of PAX Prime last weekend was the revival of Duke Nukem Forever. Gearbox Software, the company behind the Brothers In Arms series and Borderlands, are working on it now and say they’ll release it in 2011. In case you’re unfamiliar with the Duke Nukem Forever story, the game has been in development since 1997. It has been “set for release” at least five different times. So here’s hoping.
Since it somewhat relates, and I talk about it all the time anyway, the new Borderlands DLC was dated. It will be released Sept. 28. They are also increasing the level cap (for free) to 69. They have not officially said when they’ll do that, but hopefully it will be the same time as the DLC. Though a Game of the Year edition is set for releases Oct. 12. I could see them doing it then, too.
So today begins the first of 12 days where I am in charge. The problem with being in charge is that everything is my responsibility so even if someone else messes something up, I’ll take the hit. Wish me luck.
